Wynn or Encore?
If your choice is between Wynn or Encore, you’re bound to have a very pleasant stay. They both offer you luxury and comfort, cleanliness and beauty, some chic and fun and a wide range of guests, from very chic, to elegant, to casual.
The level-entry suites at Encore (Encore is an all-suite resort) are, however, unbeatable in our opinion: besides their huge ceiling to floor windows, here you’ll enjoy quality, comfortable furnishings and decor, an excellent layout, plenty of space throughout and many functional spots to relax in real comfort, besides your highly comfortable bed. High quality, modern yet comfortable couches make the suite an ideal places to sip champagne, read or just watch its HD TV (with plenty of channels). Every item of furniture at an Encore suite is very functional, not just beautiful. If you book at Encore, I’d recommend you enjoy this resort as much as possible; starting from it’s great suite, with the exception of its buffet, which (despite its beauty) is not one of the very best buffets in Vegas.
It’s twin resort Wynn is equally luxurious although – and this is strictly my subjective taste – I prefer the space, brightness and decor of the suites at Encore. If you particularly enjoy modern yet high-quality (as opposed to the ‘modern and relatively cheap’ decor of so many remodeled rooms on the Strip), spacious and functional, all very beautifully decorated of course, Encore is the place to be, provided of course you are happy with the location (but then Wynn is the same location, of course, though very marginally closer to Venetian & Mirage). In terms of rooms and suites, however, provided you compare the same ‘types’, you won’t be disappointed with either of the 2 ‘twin’ resorts.
Encore and Wynn have their own pools but share many of the facilities and services, such as the 2 gyms or the spa, so it’s a matter of deciding if you want to walk the extra distance to go from one building to the other for the facilities of your choice; the main casino area is below the Wynn so, if you dislike walking even minimally, then Wynn may be a better option for you. During warm seasons ( = many months in the year) Encore becomes very lively due to its busy ‘beach club’ (but then the same can be said of most other Vegas resorts); it offers beach rooms and beach ‘bungalows’ on the lower levels, right on the Strip (though we’re talking of the not-so-central part of the Strip, as you may already know, being slightly towards North); the main building is still the same, still exquisitely classy.
