Things to Do in Vegas on a Budget
The following is a list of what you can do in Vegas for around 20 dollars per adult (or less). If you only want to know what you can do for free in Vegas, go to our Free Vegas Attractions page.
♥ Stratosphere Tower observation deck: probably a must-go because it’s the only place where you can enjoy 360-view of Las Vegas, the surrounding valley and the desert mountains all around. For less than 20 dollars per person, this impressive tower (1149 feet or just over 350 meters tall) offers breath-taking sunsets of Vegas and the surrounding area.
♥ Eiffel Tower Experience at the Paris resort: as you stroll along characteristic mid Strip (the stunning Bellagio lake & fountains and the beautiful Paris resort), for less than 15 dollars per adult you can enjoy a beautiful, unique view of the Vegas Strip from a height of 460 feet (just over 140 meters).
♥ Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at Mirage. Another great activity (which can take a whole afternoon if you want) for under 20 dollars. Full details, photos and videos our things to do in Vegas for the whole family page.
♥ Bellagio Fine Art Gallery. (Free for children under 12 and 16 dollars for everybody else). Set inside the beautiful Bellagio resort, this art gallery boasts world-class artifacts exhibitions; over the years these have included world-renowned names such as Monet, Faberge and Andy Warlhol. An affordable must-go if you love fine arts, set in a must-see classic-beauty resort (Bellagio).
♥ Auto Collection at the Linq. For little over 10 dollars you can enjoy this large auto collection (300), stemming from classic, luxury and unique cars all the way to military vehicles. A great variety of automobiles for car-lovers, curious visitors in the area (Mid towards North Strip) with a bit of time on their hands and families with teenage children.
♥ Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay: under 20 dollars, here you can marvel over 1,200 species of marine life (sharks, sea turtles and exotic fish) as well as huge lizards and reptiles; to add more to this great experience, here you can also enjoy a ‘touch pool’, which is basically where you can ‘touch’ stingrays, eels and crabs.
♥ Roller Coaster at the New York-New York resort: a very tall roller-coaster with a truly ‘scary-drop’; as we were slowly riding up the peak (just before the drop), we wished we’d never got on (over and over)… However, if you manage to keep your eyes open, you can enjoy great views of the surrounding area as well as experience the thrills of the head-spinning drop followed by multiple loops and twists; the speed is, in some sections, as much as 67 miles per hour (about 108 kilometers per hour).
♥ Spring Preserve (about 20 minutes by car from the Strip, a bit more by bus): if you want to get away from Vegas for a few hours for less than 20 dollars per adult (discount for children), you will have plenty of choices suitable for the whole family (in varying degrees). Some of these great options (mostly very affordable) are listed on our page ‘Things Things To Do with Children & Teens in Vegas‘. The huge, 180-acre Spring Preserve is another addition to the list, offering a mix of cultural and historic attraction with state-of-the-art exhibits, galleries, hiking trails, live animal shows and botanical gardens. On the property you will also find the Nevada State Museum. If you found this page useful, please share it and/or ‘like’ it 🙂 thank you
