mykonami vs myvegas & myKonami tips

As you may well know already, myVegas extended by adding a new mobile app, called myKonami, using real casino slot games (Konami games).  If you have time to play myVegas on your facebook app (the one which arguably gives more loyalty points per play, which we discuss on our myVegas page), myVegas mobile and myKonami mobile, you can gather a nice amount of L.P. per day!   But even if you have the time you are likely to run out of chips soon enough (if you never buy chips but even if you buy them, unfortunately, but we have pages dedicated to how to accumulate tons of free chips), so it’s nice to be able to have other ways to play and gather some L.P.

We love myKonami, mostly because it’s relatively easy to avoid running out of chips no matter how long you play!  The following are the main reasons:

1) besides a generally more generous daily wheel spin, which can give you chips or ‘tickets’ to spin the lucky cat’ (which will in turn give you generous amounts of chips), every 4 hours you will be able to obtain 5 tickets (enough to spin the ‘lucky cat’) and that by itself compares much better against the less-than generous 4-hourly chips gift you are given by myVegas mobile.  This means that, unless you spin high amounts, you can play myKonami without the risk of running out of chips.  This is, for us, more fun.

2) the chip packages on myKonami mobile are more generous; even if myVegas have introduced a package multiplier (for which you have to pay for separately), because it seems to be stuck on x2 most of the times after the first couple of purchases.

A word of warning here:  you can spend a very large amount of chips on myKonami sometimes, before hitting a huge line or jackpot; so, try to avoid getting ‘stuck’ on a game if you see it is not paying; you may be better off closing the whole app and starting over perhaps a few hours later, or at least choosing a different game.

3) you don’t have the quests which typify myVegas but, as many of these quests seem to be mere ‘dangling carrots’ to entice players to buy chips in order to reach the elusive completion, it’s probably better for your wallet 😉

The type of games available in myKonami are arguably more limited, in that, for example, there are no ‘cumulative bonuses’ (such as bonuses you get to by accumulating a fixed number of symbols); however, some of myKonami games have bonuses which have the potential of paying huge sums of chips.  From a few hundreds of thousands of chips, for example, I reached 51million chips all in one short evening, thanks to those potentially mega-paying bonuses.

The myKonami games which have potentially huge payouts (via bonuses, for example) are almost all of them with the exception of Lotus Land: even if this has the mathematical potential of paying out large sums of chips, in our experience it’s very rare.

It will take you a bit longer to accumulate loyalty points spinning myKonami (unless you spin huge sums) but, because you are less likely to run out of chips as quickly as with myVegas for the reasons explained above, we think it’s a ‘better-value’ app and, for those who love to spin, much more fun.
