    Hello Julia,
    HOPE YOU’RE DOING WELL.
Was in LV Aug-Sept and it was so nice and relaxing. Didn’t want to leave the the rates increased bc big weekend. During my stay, some guy hit it big and made it rain off the balcony at the Cromwell. I wasn’t nearby to benefit. LOL.
I plan to return for B-day in August. -)

    Hi Jules,

I was wondering, do you ever review spas that are in the casinos along the Strip? I noticed that MyVegas has spa rewards for Mandalay Bay now and they seem like a good deal, but I’ve never been in any of the spas in Vegas and I’m not sure how good the facilities or the staff are.

Hi Teresa, I do review spas but I don’t video them, too many people half-naked about! 🙂 But all rates are super inflated, I think, as you can imagine. Having said this, it’s fine if it’s free 😉 I never found hair treatments for example to be good enough compared to professional salons, but I am waiting to hear of a great experience. Mandarin Oriental offers interesting spa experiences. 😉

What do you think about the announcement of MGM casinos raising their parking prices by about $3 per day starting 1/31/2018?

Hi there! 🙂 we have the same taste! Well, some of the quietest suites (stunning too) are at Vdara, but I really don’t like the location nor the amenities. So I usually enjoy myself at Caesar’s, as long as I am in a large room, such as the ones in the Octavius tower or Palace tower. The longest the better, so you feel you can truly stay far from the corridors. I do like Mirage but the rooms are too close to the corridors so they are noisy, even if the Stay Well rooms provided a lovely experience, the one I reviewed recently. Not sure which bars would provide the best atmosphere for someone with your taste (and mine)… I personally love the M resort but it’s far from the Strip; most other resorts, even Bellagio, even if they have lovely cocktail bars, they can be very loud. Sometimes Tropicana has a very nice atmosphere; Paris is a but too busy maybe. Which resort do you have in mind?

    Hi Jules,

I watched your recent review of Palms Buffet and it looked great.
My question is what is the safest route to walk there from the strip as I don’t want to pay for a cab. I will be staying at Excalibur. I look forward to your reply.
    Much appreciated.

Hi David 🙂 I’d walk from Exca to Monte Carlo, then get the tram to Bellagio and walk from Flamingo Rd. But from Exca to Bellagio is not that easy, unless you are trying to find a way to walk off the extra calories !:)

Dear Jules, I do not know if this is where I post a question, but my wife and I have been going to Las Vegas since the early 80’s. We used to have no problems finding places to dance such as the Riviera and Stardust. We are now in our mid 60’s and do not like the Rap and DJ based music that all the clubs have now. Do you or your contacts have any suggestions as to where we may be able to find dancing music in this town. Our next visit will be April 1 through the 5th. Thank you for your help.

Hi Jules! I have just recently found your youtube page and website and I think it’s brilliant! We are going to Vegas at the beginning of October and have booked to stay in Excalibur in a Resort Strip View room.
What are your opinions about this room and is it clean enough as I have seen some bad reviews?
Do you think it will still be warm then and are the pools still open around this time?
    Thank you for your time!

Hi Lee-Ann and thank you 🙂 Excalibur pool should be open in October (though I would call them or write to them so you have something in writing confirming this), though Excalibur always close their pool in winter. As per rooms I would not expect luxury, it’s basic but my room were clean, at least the upgraded rooms. Cleanliness in a hotel is a right so if you find something dirty just ask to change rooms or ask housekeeping to send someone to clean the room. I have done so in theoretically ‘better’ resorts without thinking twice about it. 😉

Let me say first that I do enjoy your reviews and your delightful commentary style-Let me also say that you often come close to being insulting to America and our Buffets-as a former resident of both London and Rome I visited many hotels and restaurants both in the UK and on the continent and seldom did I find anything LIKE Las Vegas and the variety of buffets there especially for the prices-nowadays the buffets are (to me) expensive as are the hotels-In the old days (1900’s) Vegas was very inexpensive, the food was good and a very nice room was less than 30.00usd there were no resort fees etc. I would urge you for the sake of credibility to compare apples to apples-so who cares what you at in Paris how does one Las Vegas buffet compare to another in YOUR opinion-and trust me I have scolded other reviewers for the same thing-some of the best pasta I ever had was in a street restaurant in Rome for less than one dollar and some of the worst in Venice for over 100.00usd you can’t compare them in fairness BUT you can compare sushi on two buffets In Las Vegas that are about the same price-that is fair.
Budget food is budget food so cheap buffets shouldn’t be expected to be as good as more prestige places-if they are THAT is news-Steve Wynn has been known in Las Vegas for many years for the quality of his food and his hotels-he made the dark and dingy Golden nugget into a showplace with one of the best buffets in Vegas-I don’t believe he owns it anymore-too bad.
If the food is NOT good at the Wynn you really should let him know directly-I will bet he will be upset to hear that-I know he is very responsive to guest comments.
Meanwhile keep doing what you’re doing-you are very brave to post videos with cockroaches scuttling around-good for you!!!!!

Hi Jules! I enjoy your videos and commentary. I can see that you enjoy Paris Hotel/Casino. This time I will be staying there for a couple of nights. Can you do a review of the Paris Classic Room? My tastes are similar to yours in that I just want a clean room with a comfortable bed. I like my frills too, but I think..why upgrade and pay more when my stay in the room will be minimal?

Hello Lydia! 🙂 Thank you! When will you be staying at Paris? I just returned from a month in Las Vegas (about 40 days actually!) and should be back there in March. The upgrade is worth it, in my opinion, only if the mattress is of better quality and of course if the room is larger, if size is important to you. But I dislike sleeping on a bad mattress 😉

They say they are temporarily ‘re-organizing’ but of course it’s never excellent news… I never thought much of the location (even if it’s an easy walk from Stratosphere, but even Stratosphere is not in ad ideal location, it’s a bit ‘dead’ in that area) and not much of anything ‘high-end’ in an off-Strip location. Not easy to survive. But let’s see what’s going to happen next.
I just came back from a long trip to Vegas so updates will be posted daily now! 🙂

Hello and sorry for the delay! I was in Las Vegas for almost 2 months for my updates trip! I just came back home so here I am! Most strip resorts offer smoking rooms, and since things change all the time, you are always advised to phone front desk (the hotel DIRECT number, starting with the code 702) to double check. Even Cosmopolitan, for example, offer balconies for each suite in which you can smoke, while enjoying the breath-taking views. But you canNOT smoke along the corridors or in the elevators, of course.
