Las Vegas Updates are posted on this page, for 2021 and beyond. Yes it’s been a long time since I updated this site due to the travel restrictions.  However, I am now updating the whole website.  So watch this space and these updates below:

24 December 2021.  I have just updated the list of Best Buffets in Vegas to include also information on whether they are currently closed or open.  I am also updating each corrensponding detailed page, starting with the buffets which are still open.

16 February 2020:  brand new video of the Mirage corner Strip view level entry room.  Fabulous!  For more information on Mirage 2020, go to the dedicated Mirage resort comparison page.

9 February 2020:  The Luxor Buffet has improved!  Check the updated Luxor Buffet Review page.

3 February 2020:  updated page on the Best Vegas Buffets for DESSERTS (many changes from last year!)

1 February 2020: Aria has regained its crown of the best buffet on the Vegas Strip (and possibly overall in Las Vegas)… On a good day.  The Paris buffet has improved this year (2020), so we’re happy about that too!  Read more on the top 5 Vegas buffets.

20 January 2020:  a brand new list of the best buffets in Las Vegas 2020!  Check the huge changes!

20 January 2020:  a brand new review of the disappointing Mirage buffet.

20 January 2020:  a brand new review of the sexy Delano resort on this page with an accompanying video on the video pages.

4 January 2020:  a quick and easy guide for Las Vegas visitors who want to eat healthy or vegetarian on this page.  Also, a brand new healthy and plant-based restaurant has opened at Venetian.  I write about it on the healthy eating in Vegas page.

2 January 2020:  Winter Bewares.  Las Vegas in the middle of winter can be cold, rainy and its sky can look more like London (UK) or Vancouver (Canada) than what one would expect from Las Vegas.  It’s never really cold with a few exceptions, even when its surrounding mountains are beautifully covered in snow.  But the bewares are more about the amenities that some major resorts keep closed or open with huge restrictions.  Many pools are closed and very few are open and heated!  So, before you go we advise you phone your chosen resort and ask opening hours of pools and if those pools are heated.  Mirage was a disappointment in this regard this year, to name one resort!  A video explaining this is on our videos page or simply go to this link https://youtu.be/ni069TEw9Ic .  A updated list of pools open in winter (in Las Vegas) is on our page winter pools in Vegas.

January 2020:  have you seen the new huge stadium being built in Las Vegas???  Take a look at it on this video from the Las Vegas Journal.

27 December 2019:  The Wynn buffet has increased their prices and, it seems, extended their holiday price tag.

December 2019:  updated information on Vegas hotels resort fees; updated information and details about the affordable Vegas hotels Gold Coast and Orleans added.  New videos uploaded (Signature room/suite and the best MGM Grand Buffet that resort has to offer, as well as a new video on the rooms at Gold Coast).  Check the videos pages (see menu) and the youtube channel Jules at top-buffet.

November 2019:  Updates on the Treasure Island Buffet (which on a good day is fabulous while on a bad day is just ‘weird’), the almost-free Gold Coast buffet and the Bellagio Buffet  (which seem to have forgotten that a higher price needs to be followed by better quality and variety!) with new videos respectively!

14 November 2019: updated on Main Street Station buffet (which has given up on quality for good it seems) and Mandalay Bay buffet (average at best with a couple of redeeming qualities), including new videos on each (which you can find in the video section).

13 November 2019:  MGM Grand, Bellagio and Circus Circus sale?  Read on the MGM Sale page.

November 2019: New Review (and prices/hours updates) of the very good Buffet at Rio Las Vegas (including a new video; check our videos section).  A brand new video of the stunning MGM Grand pools in winter (video sections).  A warning about myVegas Freeplay Rewards by video and on the myVegas tips page.

November 2019: New Review of the Fremont Buffet in Downtown Vegas (which seem to e embarassed themselves by what they serve) including a new video of it.  New review of the Planet Hollywood buffet including new prices and a new video.  “Strange happenings outside Caesar’s Palace” and ‘Have They Lost Their Mind on the Strip?”, both new videos you can find on the video section of this site.  One is about what people do when the lost everything at the slots and the other is what ‘they’ do to ‘lobotomise’ us to make us forget.
