Hi Sheldon so, so sorry for the huge delay. Thank you for you kind words ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope your birthday was great in Las Vegas. Which casino do I prefer between those? To gamble I prefer Wynn and maybe Cosmo. I never win anything at Aria, though I am sure some people do. I always win something at Wynn LOL The atmosphere at Wynn is also much nicer I think, although Aria is a stunning place with high-ceilings etc. Not too keen on the crazy, ultra loud Cosmo atmosphere, but I tend to win at their casino LOL

    Jules,

I am a huge fan of your videos- they make me feel like I am in Vegas….

Any plans to do a room and/or buffet review of Encore or Wynn?

I often go to Vegas in July and August. Would you consider a get together with your fans this summer in Vegas? Lunch or dinner at Studio B Buffet or a craps game downtown?

Do you play table games, too?

Hi there! ๐Ÿ™‚ Studio B has indeed an area for groups which can be reserved in advance, well thought ๐Ÿ™‚ Although some people may have difficulty getting there (the free shuttles are not super frequent).
I am uploading new videos from tonight and will re-review Wynn/Encore in my upcoming trip I hope ๐Ÿ™‚
Thank you for your message ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi, Jules is so nice to see that you are back. I was in Las Vegas this past November and since I stayed at planet hollywood I ate at their bufffet with the 24 hours pass. The buffet was totally disgusting. They shrunk it down to three thirds of its’s origianl size, I don’t know if because they are remodeling it or because nobody goes there any more. But the few food options they had were totally unedible. Everything seemed like it had been sitting there for hours. They were Charging $20 for Sunday dinner but honestly it wasn’t even worth $5. I was wondering if you will be reviewing this buffet again or if you had any info on it if they are going to be remodeling it or closing it down. It honeslyt looked like it was on it’s last days. I can’t imagine anybody going back there anymore once they experience it.

    Hi Jules

I was just wondering if you will be reviewing the Eataly at the Park MGM? Itโ€™s all about Italy and itโ€™s supposed to be authentic Italian food.

Would love to see you review this place!

Looking forward to your new videos soon.

We tried the buffet at the M Casino on Jan. 4th. We went at the cusp of lunch and dinner but guess what they had a special $41 seafood holiday buffet for this date so we didn’t get the $25 lunch. We were fine because suppose to be the best but this buffet was not worth that money. It wasn’t really very good at all. Four of us all agreed. Alcohol was included. Curious to see if you try it again what you will think.

      Hello Amy
I am in Vegas right now and I must tell you I have been disappointed so far by all top buffets but also by the ‘budget’ ones except for the one at Palms. I will return to Studio B this week and tell you all about it. These days the best deal is provided by the buffet at Palms (A.Y.C.E.) in that it’s affordable and good, although of course it does not offer the many options that Aria or MGM (dinner time) would, for example. But I enjoyed everything I ate and I only paid 15 Dollars on a Saturday lunch. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi! I’ve really enjoyed watching your videos over the past few years. Thank you thank you thank you for all the time and effort you put into providing better trips for your viewers!! It seems like you are a bigger fan of MLife properties than Total Rewards, so I need some advice if you have a chance, please. I’m going to Vegas the first week of January and have a good offer to try MLife properties which includes an automatic upgrade to Peal status through September 2020. I want to try 1 night (January 1st) just to get the Pearl upgrade for a while, and see how I like some of their hotels and casinos. And to see how well they will comp rooms and food for my slot play. I play penny slots but will do so for several hours a day usually at max bets (and never under $1) recycling as much as possible through the machines.

I am fully comped for the remaining 5 nights of my trip at Caesars (Diamond level with Total Rewards). To give you an idea I travel to Vegas 2-3 times a year for the past few years, and usually I do Planet Hollywood (always comped and Penthouse floor), occasionally Caesars Palace (sometimes comped, always discounted but mid-level rooms) and occasionally Encore or Wynn on a really good price as a treat. Good buffets, quality rooms, classy clientele and a good selection of penny slots are the main factors.

The MLife offer via AAA with Pearl upgrade comes down to choosing between MGM Grand Grand King ($94), Mirage Resort King ($89), Luxor Tower King Elite remodeled ($81) or Pyramid Corner King Suite ($94 but looks older furnishings!) or Mandalay Bay Resort King ($66) or Elite King ($96). All options are really close enough in price for that to not be a big factor. I’m not interested in Park MGM, NYNY or Excalibur which were a little bit less. Bellagio and Aria were not offered as options with this deal unfortunately.

Where would you pick to stay from those options? I’ve read that you aren’t a big fan of any of the buffets at those choices except Mirage. I’m hoping after showing them my level of play they will comp me in the future. So I’d want it to be a hotel that I would enjoy visiting again and again if thats where they would place my preferred comps for future visits (fingers crossed). I’ll probably hop over to Mirage to play while I stay at Caesars, so I’m leaning against staying at Mirage and leaning toward Mandalay Bay.

Stay well and keep up all the amazing work here! I share your site with many friends who use your tips for Vegas trips.

Also I always rent a car so location isn’t a factor for me. At your suggestion I’m planning to try the M Resort Buffet this trip finally! I’ve seen your reviews of it and can’t wait to go! Especially since it looks like I’ll be staying a little farther South than usual.

      Hello Chuck
finally here I am replying to you ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for your kind words ๐Ÿ™‚ FIrst, I am not a bigger fan of MGM resorts than Caesar’s. For example, I really love Caesar’s Palace and I have reviewed it extensively; my stays at Harrah’s or Planet Hollywood or Paris were fine. It’s just that with MLife and a phletora of other offers I seem to stay much nore at the MGM resorts. But you are making a valid point and maybe in the future I should also focus on the other ‘family’ ๐Ÿ™‚
Out of the options you highlighted, I would opt for Mandalay Bay in that its rooms are more ‘grand’ than any of the other resorts, with the exception, maybe of the Stay Well room at MGM Grand (but then you may be asked to pay an upgrade, I will soon post a review on all of that, a video review). I like Mirage but lately their buffet is no longer as perfect as it used to be (will post a video review soon and soon I will update all my top-buffet.com reviews).
Aim to be invited to Bellagio and Aria in the future, I am often and it’s not that difficult, especially if you play more than 1 dollar per spin and recycle quite a lot of money (hundreds). Bellagio and Aria are by far the best also in terms of amenities, though MGM Grand is fine too. Mandalay Bay has a gorgeous pool but the buffet is never that great and I don’t know, it has lost its ‘luxury feel’ a while ago, even though as I said its rooms are still beautiful, thankfully.
Mirage has some standard rooms which need remodeling (the newer ones are lovely of course) and its bathrooms are really small. Their stay well rooms are lovely but again, would you be asked to pay for the upgrade? If so I would not go for it, but it depends on how much an extra expense is a bother for you or not.
I hope this has answered your question ๐Ÿ™‚ Who knows, maybe we’ll cross paths ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello Gulnara, sorry for the delay in replying to you… I have been away for a long time but… I am back! I will be updating info and videos in the coming months (December, January and February). To answer your question, I would LOVE to review buffets in Florida. I usually am in Indian Harbour Beach (do you know it?), a relatively quite place, not that many buffets here… But… As I am soon going to return to the area after a long absence, I may well review a few if you tell me which area you are interested in… I can’t promise as I need to focus on Vegas, but – depending on the area – if it’s close by to my tours, I will ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you so much for watching me and reading me. I am trying to video myself this time, let’s see if I like the idea LOL

    Jules,
I have a question that don’t think it’s been asked before. What’s your opinion on mobile check-in? It seems like you could check in faster, but to me it seems like you give up asking for a specific type of room. Can you do mobile check-in and then call and ask for a specific type of room? I always do mobile check out but am afraid to do mobile check-in.

Hi Mike, good to hear from you and… Good point! I avoid mobile check in because I like to exercise my charm ๐Ÿ™‚ and see the best options they can give me. When I was there a few months ago I could NOT ask for specifics while doing mobile check in, but things may have changed since then. I will check as I’m due to arrive at Bellagio and other resorts relatively soon (bear with me a little longer) ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Jules love your videos. Are you going to review the Rio Buffet now that they eliminated the seafood add on section. Also On the website I saw that their hours are very limited. Basically it’s only open on the weekedn the whole day, Weekdays are only a few hours. Was it always like that or are they trying to reduce cost and only offer it on peak hours?

Hello Raul! So sorry for the delay in replying to you – I have been far far away for a while (personal reasons) – but I’m back ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes I will review the Rio buffet shortly. Yes you are right. Some of the Caesars Group buffets have now limited opening hours unless it’s ‘peak time’ and frankly it’s very annoying. What happens to the 24 hour buffet pass if you can’t enjoy all the buffets? Rio has had traffic problems for a while but maybe they should have either kept the price of the buffet low or done up their resort to attract more people. But maybe they did not have the money to do it. Their customer service at the Rio resort was always less than perfect so overall I have always scratched my head about the Rio, not really understanding why they can’t get their act together. I’ll go into detail after I’ve been around for a few weeks, so please bear with me. Thank you for your email ๐Ÿ™‚ Jules
