Hello! I’d really like to get your opinion on buffets.
My family and I will be visiting next month. We come from southeast asia (there is so much seafood here), and would like to visit a buffet that either has consistently good/proper seafood (super uninterested in maki rolls/anything with rice) OR a buffet that specializes in something other than seafood.
Would any of the top 5 buffets in your Top 10 list fit – e.g. Aria for seafood, or Studio B for consistency? Thank you so much!
Hello and sorry for the huge delay in replying to you! I have been away, far away (closer to you than Vegas) but… I’m back! In the upcoming months (late Dec/Jan/Feb) I’ll be updating content and videos (bit by bit, please bear with me) so here I am answering your good question, even if you have probably come and gone (in fact, I would welcome your sharing of your experience, given your unique point of view coming from South East Asia). Unfortunately none of the buffets in Vegas are as consistent as one would like. Yes, generally they are good, some times they are excellent, other times they are very good, but on occasion you will find something not so great or not as good as it was – say- the month before. The ‘bad’ buffets are consistently bad so that’s no consolation either. In terms of specific dishes, it really depends on when you visit. On low traffic days/times there may be a more basic range while on special occasions, holidays or high traffic times the range and the quality may be better (I am still talking about the best buffets in Vegas); the price varies too on holidays, as you know. All the ‘best’ buffets in Vegas will have much more than just seafood. Rest assured. ๐
Jules,
On this topic, there is a new guy doing videos that mentioned that Aria now has an all day buffet pass. I think this is the best deal going, as there are no up-charges and that Aria is great for all meals.
“All-Day Pass
Monday – Friday
Enjoy The Buffet all day for only $60.
Please see The Buffet hostess or Concierge for more information.
AllโDay Pass is only valid for the date purchased
and will expire at 10:00 p.m. each night. Excludes holidays.”

One other thing Jules,
You can use the Aria Buffet Pass on Friday night’s for the “Gourmet Dinner”, this is an incredible deal, that is something that you should do a video on!
George
Yes George, Aria’s gourmet dinner is fabulous and a good deal. MGM Grand’s gourmet dinner is also lovely; days ago I was treated by the most deliciously cooked and prepared grilled tuna steaks (at MGM Grand).
Not so much the regular lunch. Both at Aria and and MGM Grand they were not perfect, MGM Grand being the worse of the 2. A shame.
I totally agree ๐ ALthough, as you will see from my new video, the regular lunch, though still lovely, has slipped up just a little bit, not much, it’s still a top-3 buffet in Vegas. I have to yet go to the other 2 notoriously good ones, so I am reserving judgement at the moment ๐
Hi Jules:
Great job on your video reviews!
I have a question regarding Cirque du Soleil tickets via ebay. I just did a search for MJ One tickets and the results show postings from StubHub only. I can’t seem to find local sellers.
I’m going to try Craigslist.
Thank you for your time!
Hello Braulio and thank you for sharing your experience. Sorry for the delay in replying, I have been away for a long time… I am back though ๐ How did it go on Craigslist? As long as you can meet the person and the ticket is verified, you shall be ok.
Hi Jules…I just came back from Vegas. I always stay at the Caesars properties. An employee told me that the Buffet of Buffets pass is going to be changing, there are soon going to be 3 different “levels” to choose from, and one will include unlimited 24 hour access to Bucchanal. Have you heard anything about this?
Hi Steve ๐ Sorry for the delay in replying to you, I have been away for a while… Well that makes perfect sense, in that what they seem to be doing is concentrate on the one buffet, Bacchanal, which for some silly reason people seem to go to no matter the ridiculous price. The other buffets have collapsed in quality and/or opening hours so it would make perfect sense. On my next review segments (late Dec/Jan/Feb) I shall tell you all about it, because one thing is to read about it or to hear about it, and quite another is to try the whole thing and see how it works first hand ๐ Thanks for sharing ๐
Hi Jules! First off, love your vidoes. Thanks for what you do. Lastly, I just read in a newsletter I subscribe to that the quality of the Ports O’ Call Buffet at Gold Coast has much improved. Might be worth checking out.
Hi TJ ๐ First of all, sorry for the huge delay in replying to you… I can’t believe I missed your message… I have also been away (far far away as they say, 2 continents away) for a while … I am back though and I shall update content and videos in the coming months. Ok, so I am glad that the Gold Coast buffet has improved, because it was definitely awful. I shall check it out for sure as I am due to stay at Gold Coast for a tournament soon enough ๐ Thank you for sharing ๐ Jules
Hi Jules, love the videos. I’m wating for a review of the Savor the buffet at Tropicana
Hi George
I agree, I should review it. Its restricted opening times and its size sometimes make me forget about this buffet completely. But well done for asking me ๐
Jules,
What happened with you over the past several months: it is now Thanksgiving (a Big Canadian Holiday!), yet your group has heard nothing from you, for months?
Hello George! I know, I know… I have actually been away, far far away for a very long time. I am now back in Vegas and will be updating info and videos relatively soon.
Jules,
Thanks for getting back with me, I thought something bad must of happened to you! There is a new guy do many Vegas buffet reviews, so I thought he might have taken over.
Great to hear from you!

Hi Jules
I posted on here I think in June or July but couldnโt find my comment.
Anyway my husband and I love watching your videos looking forward to more coming soon!
I just wanted to ask that you havenโt been back to the Luxor for a number of years. Just wanted to know if you plan on going back there at all? We found the Luxor buffet for that you pay to be good food for the price. I have noticed you havenโt been back to what is known now as the Park. Will you be making a visit there also anytime soon?
Aria is by far the best and we went there on your recommendation and all I can say is wow!! Outstanding food the price your paying for gourmet!
Does the Tropicana have a buffet and will you be doing a video of that too?
Lastly have you ever thought of doing a video with a viewer to share both opinions on what they also thought?
Hi Chris! I thought I had answered you… Not sure what happened. Sorry! Well, I went to the ‘Park’ a few months ago and I ate at the Luxor buffet very recently. I just did not do a video review of it or, rather, I haven’t posted it yet. It’s a little better than Excalibur these days but not that great, at least not when I went. As per the Tropicana buffet, I found its days/hours to be very limiting and the buffet rather small, but definitely it’s on my schedule for a review. Thanks for your comments, they are all very precious and keep posting ๐ Jules
No worries Jules thank you for replying! We are heading to Vegas in March and we will be eating at the Aria and considering the M buffet. So they do a shuttle from Tropicana there or is there anyway of getting there in public transport. Keep up the good work we watch all your vids on repeat every day! X
Oh Chris I feel sooo bad for not replying to you at the time. I missed a few messages months ago for some reason. Anyway, I am sure you have figured it out but for those who are reading… There are buses but it’s not a straight route. The shuttle is the best way, unless you are a group in which case a taxi would be affordable. ๐
hey jules some fantastic work you do for us vegas travellers i thank you for all the hard graft getting videos ect.. out. i have a question that might sound easy but just wanted ask regarding 2 for 1 buffets or any 2 for one deals for that matter,is a 2 for one deal ment to be used with 2 people at once or can we purchase a 2 for one deal for a single person and use it on different days?
Hi David ๐ good question and unfortunately no, it means it’s for 2 people for the price of one… ๐ Thanks for your nice words… ๐
Hey Jules,
Hope all is well
Question regarding Luxor. I have visited the casino a couple of times, but i have never stayed in the hotel or really explored other areas of the resort. I just made it to Pearl with Mlife and I now have a comp 4-night stay @ Luxor or Excalibur, pretty much any day, weekends too. I booked a reservation at Luxor, friday -tuesday. When i booked the room, the only room option they offered was a standard pyramid room. I read alot of reviews and I have checked out some room tours on youtube. Its sad to see that there are so many negative reviews on Luxor. I more less know what to expect and i dont think it looks too bad, I actually think it will be a pretty neat experience to stay in a pyramid hotel at least one time for the experience. Only thing im curious about is if their is truth about all these negative reviews out there or people just have too high of expectations. For sure, Luxor will never be Wynn or Encore, which im ok with, lol. Anyhow, do you have any suggestions when i check in? Should i request a room in a certain area of the pyramid, ie. high or lower floor, away from the elevator, maybe a certain area for a better atrium view, etc. Im for sure not expecting luxury, but if you have any suggestions or tips to make the experience a little bit better that would be helpful. Much Thanks, Reo
Hi Reo ๐ On my very first visit to Luxor I stayed in a pyramid room and I loved it. It was different and I enjoyed it for that very reason. You do need to ask for a room with a good view of the casino area. Mind you, it can be noisy and a little smoke-y as you walk along the rooms corridors, but it is an experience and I think you will enjoy it. After that I have preferred to stay at a Tower room because of the size and the relatively lower noise. But as noise is concerned, all you need to keep you up is yelling and screaming people along the corridors (or kids!) and you’re pretty much without peace, especially in those rooms with no separate foyer (this is true of any resort).
I don’t think Luxor is bad at all. It’s not super luxury, of course, but it’s a very decent resort and certainly a very interesting and charming 1st time visit. I loved the theme on my 1st visit. If it weren’t for the location I would stay at Luxor much more often.
Hey Jules, it looks like the check in line at Luxor is busy pretty often. I have heard about this Mobile Check in @ M-life resorts, But i cant find much info on it other than you can check in via the app on your phone. Do you have any experience with Mobile Check in? Thanks
Hello Reo ๐
I don’t do automatic check ins at resorts because I like to ask for something extra, such as a better view, or a specific floor… ๐
Just to let you know, Palace Station has completely remodeled and added on to the hotel casino.
The buffet is all new and now located downstairs.
Yes John thank you! I will soon do a new review! ๐
Dear july my name is ricky i live in las vegas and i woud like to share with you that instead of paying 70 dollars for the bacchanal buffet grupon the app u can get on your phone usally has great offers for all sorts of stuff in Vegas including usally 30%or 50 off the price u might be surprised
I know but:
1 – the groupon coupons is NOT valid all the time and definitely not on certain dates.
2 – and I do have a page on the groupon coupons ๐
Thank you all the same, I always appreciate people sharing their experiences ๐ ๐
I enjoy your videos. My only question is tied to the audio. Why is the audio so inconsistent on the videos? Almost seems like someone covers the microphone for a portion of the video. Most of the flamingo video was tough to hear. Thank you again and appreciate the work
So right… It’s a new camera, super tiny, and unfortunately I had the mistake to cover the mic by mistake sometimes. Now I know better, but I did not want to delete those videos just because of the audio… sorry ๐ Some of them are better, promise! ๐
Hello Jules-
Love your reviews … I’m commenting specifically on technical issues – your new camera is great at stabilazation BUT your audio issues are very off-putting. Your voice is one of the firs things that attracted me to your reviews and without reliable audio you are negating that experience. I say this out of total respect but please learn how to work your audio. Several of the most recent videos sound like you are broadcasting from under the ocean – might be as simple as your finger is over the mouthpiece but it seems to denigrate when you go in for a close shot. You seem to be aware as you posted a pop-up note apologizing for the audio but it’s recurring. I know this is your labor-of-love and we love you for it but please be aware there is a problem. Thanks for all you do. So much appreciated!
Hi ๐ I just replied to the other question similar to yours…. So sorry. This new video camera has better image stabilisation but it’s so tiny, so tiny (my prerequisite) that at times I covered it with my fingers by mistake ๐ ๐ Now I know better… Bear with me, the new batch of videos will be better, promise ! ๐
Please don’t apologize – we love your videos – and they are “real” so they are very relatable – you have a natural humor and connection with your viewers. We are glad you didn’t “trash” the videos you take your time to create – I guess we want your content to be the best it can be because we enjoy it so much. Thanks for doing what you do Jules!
Thank you ๐ More to come, after the heatwave ๐
Oh my dear Jules, Paris buffet is a total disaster. Went last night and wonโt return. From selection to preparation to quality to service, a catastrophe. Plus none dollars to park? Forget it.
Yes, it really is. I have just posted a new video, in a few hours it’ll feature on the updates page. Thank you for sharing your experience!
