How Much Should you Bet on myVegas to avoid running out of chips? This is what we’ve worked out, after a lot of crazy-playing on myVegas but also on other ‘high-end’ online slot games such as Hollywood Casino (the latter offers real Vegas slots, real fun, by the way).
Of course, before we explain, we need to point out that there are no ‘sure’ rules; this because you could be spinning once at 60 thousand, for example, hit the jackpot immediately or get a ‘big’ bonus straight away. But the following is a general rule, a way to avoid running out of chips far too fast or, ideally, never.
If you have only about 100,000 chips, betting 1000 per spin is by far the safest method and, given what we explain on our myVegas guide, the best way to accumulate loyalty points. In fact, quests aside, spinning 1000 is still probably the best way to accumulate chips in terms of ‘value’ in general. But, when you have millions of chips, the temptation to bet high and, maybe, finish a quest or two is undeniable. Be careful! Running out of chips is what myVegas wants you to do so that you buy some (unless you care about being able to redeem more rewards per month, as we explain on our myVegas guide).
How much should you bet on myVegas if you have about 200,000 chips? Not more than 2500, better if less. You could get away with spinning as much as 6000 and keep your chips, but it’s very risky.
The secret here is to slowly accumulate chips; to end your spinning day with more chips than you started even if you never ‘hit big’.
If you have 300,000 or more, you can bet 5000 maximum (though I would still recommend you bet a bit lower), if your goal is to avoid running out of chips too fast. Sensible spinning and choosing your games well should allow you to accumulate enough chips to continue to increase your total amount.
If you reach 900,000 chips, you can start betting 6000 without real concern and, if you want to be more adventurous, up to 8000 per spin for the more ‘steady’ games (namely those games which don’t have long stretches of low-pay outs and sporadic big bonuses, check our page on which myVegas games are better for chip retention page). A ‘steady’ game could be ‘Around the world’. However, I still think 8000 is a little risky even with 900,000 chips, especially these days when all slot games seem to be a bit ‘tighter’.
Theoretically with one million chips you should be able to spin 10,000 relatively ‘safely’, but I have seen far too many people’s chips well run dry, since as you well know the odds are not in your favor 😉
You can almost safely bet 10,000 per spin if you have 3 million chips, though you could more safely stick to 8000. Of course, you could bet higher and hit great jackpots or bonuses (which would allow you to accumulate so many chips that you could continue to spin high). But this page is about ‘safe’ spinning, it’s about how much you should bet if you want to keep your chips and, actually, accumulate more.
At 4 million chips you can ‘safely’ bet 15,000 per spin. I would only spin 30,000 if I had over 10 million chips, 40,000 if I had around 20 million chips, 50,000 if I had between 20 and 90+ million chips. The lower the bet, the safer it is, of course, in terms of chips retention.
How much should you bet on myVegas (or other fancy online slots such as Hollywood Casino) beyond 90 million chips? Well, to give you an idea, I have not run out of chips, ever, betting up to 90,000 IF I have over 350 million chips. Yes, now it’s getting ridiculous! 🙂 . Of course, the other issue is to make sure you choose games which seem to be ‘steadier’. More on this at the bottom.
Yes, it’s conservative and as I said you could spin higher and ‘risk it’. You may hit ‘bit’. But if you don’t your millions of chips could soon become zero, at which point you may be tempted to buy some, given the ‘high’ people feel when they spin high amounts in the hope of getting big payouts. It’s why people get hooked at casinos!
