Social Rewards Ending: Hand Over Your Points Now!

Social Rewards ended.

So, if you never bothered with Social Rewards you don’t have to do anything. If you have Social Rewards points, you need to ‘turn them in’ so that they can be converted into Total Rewards Credits.

I quote their own page: we want to thank you for your patronage from the bottom our hearts for supporting us over the last 6 years. We will be processing the last of the Total Rewards credits on March 15 so please turn in your remaining Social Rewards points by then for conversion into Total Rewards credits.

I was never a huge fan of the program and now they seem to have cooked up another weird ‘social’ program, www.SelfieW.me and I invite you to tell me if this appeals to you and why.  It simply does not do it for me.  I love gambling and I love to enjoy what Vegas has to offer, but not this way.  I will be curious to hear your opinion.

Previous: unlike myVegas. Social Rewards (linked to Caesars Entertainment resorts in Vegas) was a way to use Facebook and Twitter socially, thus ‘spreading the word’ to your social network. It’s not a slot game… It was a way to use Twitter and Facebook in the very manner they were devised to function. You ‘liked’, you ‘tweeted’ a specific message Caesars Entertainment wanted you to spread (it could be news about a new hot club or a concert they will hold in one of their resorts, or some special offer). Each time you tweeted something, for example, you earned some points (it varied, as explained later). These points translated into real credit (dollar credit) which you could then spend at any Caesars Entertainment resort. Not bad! I tell you straight up that I did prefer to have credit I could use any way I want rather than having limited options (as in myVegas).

The following paragraph is part of history and not applicable now.  I will write about what Caesars are doing now instead of Social Rewards.  Frankly, with myVegas getting less and less exciting, maybe Caesars can come up with a winner this time.  Let’s hope so.

Social Rewards How To Play

♦  Make sure you have active Facebook and Twitter accounts. Social Rewards is a lot more complicated than myVegas (it’s more complicated to set up and it’s much slower to navigate/operate, I found); it also theoretically requires you to sign up with your real name and ideally have an already active account in both (Twitter, Facebook and Youtube). There are ways to go around it but, if you have a dormant account, before signing up to Social Rewards it’s a good idea to re-activate them, with new tweets, new followers… New activity, basically.

To make sure yours is recognized as an active account, use a real photo on your profile and post a couple of tweets a day. Some say it’s best to link your twitter and facebook accounts together using Klout.com; linking them together will give you the possibility of earning comps faster. Start tweeting (anything, at least a couple of tweets a day) if you just opened a Twitter account and try to ‘follow’ at least 20 people or organizations. If you have no idea what to follow, choose your favourite news channel, your favourite celebrity or similar. I follow, for example, the physicist Michio Kaku (I love quantum physics!), Deepak Chopra, some animal welfare organisations… And then of course friends and family, as well as some Las Vegas resorts (of course!). Also make sure you have some followers (friends and family will do), say about 20. When you are set in the above-mentioned way, and your Twitter account is at the very least one month old, within your Twitter account sign up to the Social Rewards program. It’s really easy and straight forward (you can easily look for Social Rewards within your Twitter and Facebook accounts).

If you have problems (you should not, but just in case), write to [email protected] and they may help you activate your accounts for you.
